Which Phone for Best Reception?

Hey all- I could use some guidance here. My provider is AT&T (Cingular), and my current phone is a Nokia 6230. It's a great phone, and I love all the features, but since I've moved reception has been terrible. I only get 2-3 bars outdoors, and No Signal-1 bar indoors. The map on AT&T lists my coverage as "Good"- haha yeah right. I would like a phone with a decent MP3 player, but my main concern is signal reception. My wife is currently serving in Iraq, and I cannot afford to miss a call from her just because I'm indoors. Here are the 3 phones I've narrowed myself down to:

Sony W300i
Samsung D807
Samsung Sync

Which of these 3 phones do you think would be my best bet. BTW- I could care less about camera and internet, and can adapt to controls. Thanks for any and all insight!

Well I decided on the N75 after all. After receiving a defective one, I finally got one that works and am so far very impressed. Now, I just need to figure out how to debrand it to get rid of that 600kB limit for ringtones. I've found a thread here, but its 32 pages....So, time to start reading up.

I don't see the ringtone limit as enough reason to bother. Any MP3 shorter than 40 seconds will be under 600k, even at a high bitrate. And it'll never play further than that, because the voicemail picks up before the 35 second mark.

However, there are some other benefits to debranding, like getting A2DP, for instance. Some find that worth it...I didn't.

Actually, I generated several 30-second MP3 clips that I used as ringtones on my 6230. Only about half of them fall under 600kB. I COULD go back and condense them, but I'm not sure yet. I really don't care about many of the added bonuses, and the task of debranding seems a bit daunting to a newb like me....We'll see.
