Which of these two trek bikes are better?

Hello I am currently looking into buying a trek bike which is better? the trek 820 or the trek 3700. i do plan to use it just around the neighborhood but mostly on trails thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
