Summer Child
Golden strokes of hazy light,
and liquid golden core.
Lips that sheath pure sun white bright.
The most envied seed of all.
Curls of cotton fabric,
flutter in the wind.
As she runs through corn fields,
Incapable of sin.
Too young to drink all day.
Too sweet to stay up all night.
her days are spent playing games,
She lives for her delight.
or
Winter Child
Snowflakes from fingertips,
and marzipan kisses.
Sweet lattice heartbeats,
and rose paper blushes.
Ice lacing touches,
on cool, melting bodies.
Lingering smiles,
With the thoughts of a child.
Blue crescent glass,
and ice sugar silk.
She with the warmth of the sun.
The skin of milk.
Golden strokes of hazy light,
and liquid golden core.
Lips that sheath pure sun white bright.
The most envied seed of all.
Curls of cotton fabric,
flutter in the wind.
As she runs through corn fields,
Incapable of sin.
