poisoning? Howdy Folks,

Long story short, I work at Wal-Mart and called in "sick" today because I'm going drinking tonight. You get 3 free call-ins per 6 months, and I've been there for 3 months without calling in so it's time to burn one of em'. I didn't have to talk to a manager when I called in, the call-in procedure is completely automated, but if approached at work tomorrow I would like a pretty good excuse since I appeared well yesterday. I'm going to tell them I went out to eat for lunch and got food poisoning, and need help deciding what establishment to blame for my absence.

Here are the ones I was thinking of....

Taco Bell
Long John Silvers
Whataburger
Jack in the Crack (box)
or I cooked a meal at home
other...

so folks, what do you think? I wont get in trouble since I am not in violation of the attendance policy, and you are even allowed to take days off for no reason at all (but hell is unleashed at the 4th absence in 6 months). I have a rapport of being one of their best workers and want a good reason for calling off.
I put this in politics in order to actually get a reply. If you don't like it feel free to call me out XD

Damn, that's a toughie.... I know that Jack in the Crack had some major lawsuits due to uncooked and infected meat a few years back, but the stores seem clean enough when you go inside. However, Long Johns deals with fish, and fish tend to make ppl sick, so I'd with Long John Silvers.... final answer.

BTW, that's a damn good excuse for missing, it's a perfect way to explain how you were fine one day then called in sick the next since food poisoning sets in quick, and is usually gone in a day or so. I'll have to use that sometime. Have a cold one for me bud.

I don't know if food poisoning is the best excuse. It normally last more than one day and doesn't come on immediately after eating.

Just say you had a fever and a splitting headache that caused you to not be able to sit or stand up

Long Dong Silvers or Hack in the Box. Taco Bell is usually pretty fresh. Not sure about Whataburger - no experience there. I'd approach Jack in the box with caution though.
