Which Nokia Phone for Canadian MVNO? (7-11/PetCan)

If only

Hello, fellows.

I'm looking to get a phone with one of the Canadian MVNO providers, 7-Eleven or Petro Canada.

Petro Canada offers only the Nokia 1112 for $75 (all funds CAD).

7-Eleven has:

Nokia 1112 - $75
Nokia 2610 - $100
Nokia 3120 - $??? (Might be wrong, but thought I saw it in the display.)
Nokia 6061 - $125

My primary use is going to be text messaging, so I really don't need anything fancy. Might be nice to have the flip phone (6061), though. I've read decent things about the 6061, but information on the others is lacking.

What would be your recommendation? Thanks so much!

I'd say go with the Petro Can phone. Text messages are only 5 cents -- cheaper than other plans. As u say u will be using it mostly for texting, the Petro Can phone would (IMHO) probably be the most economical -- minutes are good for 180 days. So, if you don't talk alot, it's more likely you'll lose time with other providers where the time expires after 90 days. I didn't know this until I read it on RedFlagDeals...

7-11's Nokia 6061 is pretty good. it's also 5 cents to send or receive text message. Also, all of their cards (from $25 to $100) last 365 days. Right now, you can get any phone there and receive an extra $50 airtime on top of the $10 included with the phone.

Hey Dave. That's five cents outgoing and incoming though, right? So, ten cents to send and receive one exchange of messages. If Petro Canada is only five cents out/no charge in, I'd definitely think about going with them, as 7-11 is still five out/five in to my knowledge. But, in almost every other area I can think of, 7-11 has Petro Canada matched or beat. They're just not as convenient, as Petro Canadas are everywhere.
