Which mountain bike models to choose between; a connondale or Trek,?

For mountain trekking that includes rough patches (MANALI - LEH 4000 -20000 ft, Himachal ,India) which cycle to be chosen;Trek or a Connondale among low budget models . Plz mention relevant links / websites if any for further reference.
 
There are no links. At this point it becomes a personal preference after a test ride of each. The bicycles are similar on the low end so it will come down to your pick.
