Which motorcycle is more reliable?

2007 Honda Shadow 600 Chain drive. ( I love the hardtail look) Approx $5000

2007 Honda Shadow 750 Chain drive Approx $6000

2007 Honda Shadow 750 with a shaft drive Approx $6800

I will use the bike mostly in town and some medium distance trips About 200mi one way. I like the price and the looks of the Shadow 600, but I am concerned about the small engine size.

A 750 might be better, and I am wondering if shaft drive is the way to go.

I would appreciate any advice. Thanks
 
Bought my first shaft drive in 1978 and never looked back. From 1982 to 1992 I also rode police bikes for the Wichita department, Kawasaki Police 1000's and they had chain drive. I got so sick of chain adjustments/replacements and chain lube flung all over. They expected the bike to be spotless every day and it was a total pain in the tail. I'd go with the bigger displacement and shaft drive. K ;o)
