Which motor oil for 1997 toyota corolla?

Recently bough a 1997 toyota corolla but it didn't come with a log book or manual. Curious to know which type of oil to use.
I live in australia, its gets up to 35 ° outside, if that would influence the answer.
 
Use 10W30 oil. Normally I would say 5W30, but with the hot temperatures I would use 10W30, at least in the summer time.
 
when new 5w30 but you can pretty much run any type ive alway ran 10w40 i drive hard and live where its mostly hot older car gets better to change weight or oil 97 10w30 or 10w40 would be fine and any parts store coul dtel you what it had when new id just get 10w30
