Which motor oil burns slower in older model cars a synthetic blend motor oil or regular

If you have an oil consumption problem no special oil is going to be a magic cure.

You could try some of the various "High Mileage" motor oils. Any of the name brands will do.

These have additives that help with the various seals, particularly the valve guide seals, to help reduce oil consumption.

However if your oil consumption is excessive the only fix is an overhaul.
 
regular oil is thicker causing it to burn slower. (if your car is burning it)
synthetic oil is great for newer cars, with no oil usage or leaks because it is thinner causing less friction and last longer. For older cars that use oil and leak it is best to use a 10w30 or 10w40 motor oil. Depending where you live. If your up north in the winter you may need a 5w20 (pretty thin)in the cold months. If your in the south in the summer you can use a 20w50 which is even thicker.

BUT, when beginning using synthetic in old engines ,causes some Small inconveniences ,because synthetics cleans and drag lot of dirty toward the filter.

take it to the mechanic ask for the rubber seals at the stem of the valves to be change.
or use a rubber dressing in the oil
