Which memory card do I need for the Sony Handycam HDR-CX110?

I purchased this camcorder as a gift for someone and do not want to open the box prior to giving the gift. For those who have used this camcorder, do I need to purchase the Memory Stick PRO Media, or will any SDHC memory card be sufficient? (I'm looking at a 32gb class 6 from another company/brand.)
