I am currently undecided and I just dont know what to decide yet. I either want to get my AAS in Electronics or my A-ATS in Comp IT. My Electronics courses would be more difficult and the Comp IT would be a walkthrough. I like both categories equally and they would both benefit me. Mostly I am just curious what kind of jobs I can get out of each and which pays better. Thanks.

Electronics pays more. Computer people are a dime a dozen. Better yet is electronics with a strong mechanical background. I have both USAF aircraft mechanic and avionic electronics background and have never had trouble finding a job in 35 years.

Maintenance jobs such as semiconductor fabrication equipment repair pays very well if you have both electronics and mechanic abilities. I have consistently seen lower pay in computer jobs. DEC, Dell and IBM pay was much lower than Kodak and Motorola.

be sure to go to a accredited college for your associates degree, you should continue to your BSEE and I would hate to see you take the classes a second time because the AS credits were not accepted for the BS.

Be willing to go where the jobs are, and you can do well.

Good luck.
