Which Liter bike is the best all round?

I'm moving on from my Gsxr 750 k4, which is ferociously fast already but i do track days regularly and now i want a liter machine.

I was thinking of a cbr 1000 rr but have seen mixed reviews of lots of people.

What would you suggest?

Depends on the tracks you plan on riding but believe it or not 600cc bikes are sometimes the fastest on tighter tracks. I just thought the rider of one was just the best rider at the local track the few times I had a chance to go until I saw an article in Cycle World that stated the fast bike around their track for 09 was the CBR600rr.

The CBR will rock as usual & most 1K bikes do. Go with the one that makes your day. You will have to get use to the throttle diff compared to the gix.
