Which LED series for Samsung is best to choose from?

Hi, my family is thinking of buying a new LED HD tv, however, as we have shopped around lately, they have said that Samsung HD LED TV Series 8 55inch - UA55B8000 and 46inch have discontinued.

So im not sure which to buy now. Series 6 or 7 or the discontinued series 8 46inch clearance stock.
