I'm building a privacy fence and want to use 1 x 6s. Cedar and treated is all my local lumber yard has available. I'm going to seal and stain it when I'm done but I need to which wood would be better to use.
In humid areas, I would go with treated southern yellow pine.
Not that it would last longer, but it probably would, but mainly mold growth and texture makes it worse.
