...States of America? Bailing out all of these companies is putting our nation at risk of an economic crash...isn't America too big to ..fail??

USA is epicenter of the world crisis. This deepening crisis is unstoppable.

Chrysler? Not so much. GM? Definitely. AIG? yes.
I have the utmost faith in this country. It will never fail. Our people are too patriotic and resourceful to let that happen. We can get through anything.

Nothing is too big to fail. Bailing out this companies is only one part of the problem, we're also looking at about 10 trillion in new deficit spending over the next decade ( make that 15-16 trillion after interest ). The USSR experienced economic collapse with far less debt then we're piling on ourselves, and yet Obama supporters aren't even remotely concerned.

No matter how bad the situation appears, I believe America's finest
hour is yet to come. We will get through all this mess, just as we
will get through Obama's Administration.

No, we are not. We can fail...and if the wild spending and deficits are not handled, we will fail financially. Then we will be at the mercy of whoever has enough wealth left to buy us out. Just like AIG.

"Bailing out all of these companies is putting our nation at risk of an economic crash."

I haven't heard anyone with a respected opinion saying these kinds of things. The only people who are panicking are uninformed parroters of the talking heads. Brookings says that it's not good for the country, but it's certainly not going to be "collapse". Try to remember that the bail outs were a reaction to the economic downturn, not the cause of it. The economy has been on the decline for a long time now.

The companies of course but just the same they do have thousands probably hundreds of thousands of workers who families would be destroyed if their company like Chrysler were to fail. as for AIG only if three other insured companies like them were to take up the brunt of the work AIG does. Yes they are too large but we have been told for seventy five years big was better for the economy now its small business is better. When this country lost the smoke stack industries we were told good riddance but we lost also many many manufacturing jobs and businesses the fact is nobody knows for sue what is the correct economic mix. Our nation cannot exist with any real high standard of wage on consumer and retail business alone especially in a crisis. It will be flooded as it is by goods cheap and otherwise from other countries.
