A) 1985 NBA Finals
B) Derek Fishers .04 buzz beater against the Spurs in the 04 playoffs
C) Phil Jackson's 10th NBA ring
D) Other

Magic's running hook shot in the lane vs. the Celtics in the 1987 Finals

Or. . . when Magic started at Center for the injured Kareem in the 1980 Finals as a rookie & scored 42 points!!

i have five more to be nominated
kobe alley oop to shaq in 2000 after coming back from 15 in the fourth
lakers 15-1 record in 2001
robert horry game 4 game winner vs sacramento
sweeping the next in four and winning the 3peat
trading for kb 24

85 finals, anything pertaining to the overwhelming succes of magic trumps their moderate recent succes or the acheivements of phil jackson.

phil does not represent the lakers, and despite his great laker attitude neither does fisher.

the lakers will always be about first jerry west and elgin baylor and then magic and kareem and worthy. These are the lakers, and what they stand for.

I would vote for 85.

The worst moment however is when they lost with wilt and baylor to the 6th seeded celtics for russels last ring. I didn't include jerry west as a loser above because no-one could have mad a more valiant effort to save that game. What a player, what a legacy.

but magic and kareem, they embody that team.

D) The Minneapolis Lakers moving to Los Angeles.

Close second: And with the first overall pick in the 1979 Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers select.....
