With gas prices fluctuating the way they do these days, I need to plan ahead for my next vehicle purchase as my little Ford pick-up is nearing 240,000 miles. I'm 6'5" so a car is out of the question, but I still want decent gas mileage. That's why I plan on making the jump from small pick-up to small SUV.
I know both the CR-V and the Escape average around 24-25 MPG highway with an automatic transmission so I guess the rest comes down to overall durability and longevity. I feel a vehicle should take care of me as long as I take care of it. I'm looking for a good solid 10-15+ year vehicle here folks. I'd appreciate any advice you can offer.
