I'm looking at 2 motorcycles on Craigslist right now however cannot decide which is the better one to buy.
1. 1992 Honda CBR 600 F2 with 40,000 miles! The bike looks to be in very good condition. It was recently serviced, had carbs cleaned, etc. The bike was mostly used to commute to work, so the owner says. It looks to be in good condition, and sounds like he has maintained it well however I'm concerned with the amount of miles he has put on the bike (I know I've heard it - Its the quality of those miles, not the quanity but that is still a lot). The price is $1650.
2. 1999 Suzuki Katana 600. The bike looks to be in very good condition as well, and she only has 13,000 miles on her. However the owner was not a very big rider so its been sitting occasionally (still starts and runs good). The battery was just replaced and the only problem is it needs a new fuel gauge (which isn't very much to buy). The price is $2000.
Now, I cannot afford a nicer or newer bike so these 2 look to be my best options. I don't have an extensive credit history (always have been able to pay in cash) so cannot get a loan. I'm still short a few hundred bucks for each but I'm sure I can work something out.
So which one sounds better in your opinion?
