which is the best vector art program?

i have illustrator and photoshop and see that most good artists use photoshop although i dont understand why they use photoshop when i zoom in the pixels wont allow me to see how to blend in proper unless i'm missing some fab way how to use photoshop. so which is the best vector art program, handy if examples of good artists who use which one u say is the best
