I aim to send an article regarding animal welfare to the most widely read newspaper in the Manchester area (UK). Can anyone tell me which newspaper I should aim my story at, and if there is any one publication or journalist which/who might be particularly sympathetic to an item on the welfare of animals? Thank you.
Sadly, Proud Student, the problems you mention aren't restricted to America. I am against cruelty, wherever it is. Keep up the good fight.

Is there any country like America could treat dogs like that ! ? Unbelievable ??!!?
These guys in the US laugh as they watch, torturing them and throw them in a brutal fighting pit still alive! I saw a German Sheppard was brutally bitten to death at the laughter of American spectators . Do you see any country other than the US torture dogs alive!! OMG! What is this world coming to! Now I understand why Iraqis and Arabs are protesting and urging uprising against the brutal occupation of Americans . I can't imagine what they do to their own people.
