R Robert W Guest Sep 23, 2008 #4 I think if you dropped the sportster out of an airplane with no parachute, it might be faster than a ducati. seriously though: sportster 1200: 59HP @ 491 lbs dry monster 620: 83HP @ 370 lbs dry no contest. maybe a better comparison would be sportster 1200 vs kawasaki ninja 250.
