...etc. or a brand new engine? looking for answers to point out the cheapest prices and info where you found your answers would be good.and why of course.
 
The Diamond Star 2.0L DOHC (Dual Over Head Camshafts) engine is a 4 cylinder. It only has one head gasket. (It seemed as if you weren't sure) I have the same engine in my Eclipse GS

A new engine alone costs over $2500, then about $2000 in labor costs. A new head gasket with labor is $1300 tops.
