Which is better, the Sony NEX-VG10 or a smaller/cheaper camcorder?

I do my own online webshow and do lots of semi-professional work. Right now I use an low-def Sony handycam and a non-hd flip video camera. I've been looking for a good camera
for a while now. I've been looking at the Sony NEX-VG10. Is that the best move, or can I get a cheaper/smaller camera that will do the same thing. The things I need are:

1) 1080p resolution
2) memory card capability
3) microphone jack
4) good internal mic (I like the shotgun mic on the NEX-VG10)

I am looking mostly for the best resolution. My uncle has a small handycam that hooks up to a big tv and has better resolution than DVDs! I seriously need your opinion. Thanks!
