Hey guys, annnnd gals...
I'm interested in some decent sound quality headphones. I've researched the pros and cons of over a hundred iPhone 3G compatible headsets from Bose to Shure all the way back to Sennheiser and Sony. Unfortunately I am stuck between the Bluetooth motorola Rokrs and Solos by Monster.
I like the idea of wireless but despise the battery charging scenario. I listen to all sorts of music the majority of the time and it's bad enough to have to worry for my iPhone's battery. I also commute on mass transportation and so the Solos looked ideal for my long morning sitting, however I doubt my iPhone could do volume control as the 3GS therefore I would not like to invest money into something that may or may not work 100% with my present equipment.
Reviewers mentioned that the rokrs' microphone was horrible but the music sounded great. This is a dilemma, for I would more than likely talk through it. As for the solos I read that they are fragile and I would upgrade to the studios if only they weren't a joke to "studio" quality headsets for 1/3 of it's price range :0/. That said:
It's a flip of a coin really and a $40 difference between the two, so which one is better?
