I want to work for a creative type magazine, such as music, entertainment, fashion, etc. My best skills are feature writing and layout design. My personal choice for just living would be LA - the weather's better, it's more spread out, you can drive instead of walking/public transport, rents seem a little lower and apartments larger than in Manhattan, etc. But I'm wondering which would be better to look at for the career I want?
Please don't suggest to find a small town or suburb or something. I've lived in nowhereville my whole life. I'm about to get my master's degree so I've decided why not just go for it and move to a huge city.
