...as a means of travelling about a foriegn land? I mean, hiking comes with the advantage of being able to frolick about in natures richness and watch the world go by - but the necessity of lugging about a tent, food and cooking gear is an obvious setback. Hostelling allows one to travel light, but it would be rather costly, and one would be dependent on being within reach of accomodation at all times.
Which is better: Hiking or hostelling...?
