I would like to know just how much chemistry is in chemical engineering.
And since a chemical engineer knows chemistry is it possible for them to do a chemists job or do they know too little to cope with it.
which one is more difficult? ( I know it depends on the individual, so my definition of difficult is lots of math, creativity, original ideas and applied physics)
I would like to know as well what topics does a chemist know that a chemical engineer does not need to know.
I know the structure of my question is somehow biased towards chemE but I have a preconcieved idea that chemists are more dispensible than chemEs. I would like as much info as possible to prove me wrong. By the way salaries or promotion do not matter to me.
