Hi, I'm going backpacking for 6 months(ish) around Europe, North Africa and the Middle East - carrying a relatively heavy load & I was wondering whether anybody has any suggestions as to what boot I should use?
Im currently looking at the Scarpa Ranger and the Meindl Vermont - both seem really good, and its become a stalemate situation.

The shoe needs to be an all-rounder as I'm studying physical geography next year and that requires a good boot
