Ok I know scales are very important for making an improvising solos on guitar. But which scales are used especially for different types of music. I know pentatonic is used in rock and blues. An that's all my guitar teacher is teaching me. So I want to learn different scales I just don't want to waste time learning one that won't fit my style of music. I play mostly metal and rock an blues but id like to start straying away from the pentatonic an just explore the scales. So if u could leave a list of scales and wat type of music they r good for that'd be great.
