Which gaming headset should I buy? (I have two I'm thinking about...links included)?

The Turtle Beach headset apparently needs the audio processor to give it 7.1 Surround but the Logitech apparently does not. The Logitech is also cheaper from Amazon.com, I owned an Alienware TactX but it broke so now I need a better one. Which is the better of the two? Are there better ones than these?
 
My friends owns a Turtle Beach headset for xbox that he is a very big fan of. You can hear every little sound that's going on around him. They're so sensitive you can hear people walking up behind you and which direction they're coming from.
