Twice while sitting beside the Ohio River at the same spot (near Ohio/PA line) just after dark, I have seen a flashing light moving just under the surface of the water. The way it moves indicates to me that it is a fish. So, I assume that it is being tracked for research purposes. Anyone know what kind of fish it might be?
The fish's behavior: Moves primarily along the shoreline. It appears to move at a good rate of speed at times. It occasionally moves right up to the water's edge, and once in a while goes out to the middle of the river.
Due to the steepness and railroad, I cannot get near the shore enough to see anything but the small blinking light.
