Which fish are better?

Which fish are better pets: Betta's or goldfish?
Which is easier to take care of, etc.
And are gold fish more active than betta's?
And can you keep a bug eyed goldfish (im not sure if that is the real name) in a regular bowl you would keep a gold fish in?
 
I have a betta, they are easy to take care of and I love the way he looks. I can't have him with any other fish, which is why mine has a seperate tank. well, it's mainly up to you.
