Which fish are best.?

forget the dwarf gourami, neons, and platies. neons are too active and dwarf gouramis and platies are too big.
also I'd suggest going a little lighter on shrimp, like 5-7 instead of 12.
I'd say either the betta or the guppies (go with male... if they're female they are probably still pregnant).
 
I have a standard five gallon aquarium.
Which of the following stocking suggestions would be best?

A) 1 betta
12 ghost shrimp

B) 1 dwarf gourami
12 ghost shrimp

C) 5 neon tetras
12 ghost shrimp

D) 2 guppies OR 2 platies (same sex)
12 ghost shrimp

so far I'll go with;
1 betta OR 2 male guppies
5-7 ghost shrimp
