Which factors cause belief in religion: Stupidity, Conditioning, or Fear?

I believe the three characteristics I mentioned are what cause people to believe in religion...

Stupidity, or to be more specific a lack of skepticism and logical reasoning.
Conditioning, having your parents drill the idea of religion into your head while you are too young to be skeptical.
Fear, being afraid of the consequences of not believing in religion, which are of course proposed by religion. The most obvious example is "hell".

Are there any other causes you know of? Any mistakes my logic? Discuss!
Hey theists, I don't hate religion. I'm not calling religious people stupid. I'm merely trying to find the reasons why a person believes in religion. I am not trolling. Calling me arrogant or bigoted just shows that you read the words stupidity and fear and right away jumped to a conclusion of what I'm asking before even reading the question.
I'm sorry for hurting some feelings, but an unquestioning belief in something that has no evidence, plus the illogical reasoning used to back up such beliefs displays stupidity. It is one of the major supports for religion whether you think I sound pretentious for saying so or not. I probably should have used the word gullibility, which undeniably describes the belief in religion, but what difference would that have made?

The OBVIOUS things I left out, such as cultural factors and family traditions can be classified under conditioning

On the other hand, the desire for a sense of the transcendent is stupidity, and respect/awe for elements of the natural world is a non-factor.
