Which engine is better on a 2005 Cadillac STS?

The V6 or V8? I know the V8 is the famous Northstar engine, but is one considered more reliable than the other? I am looking to buy an '05 STS and a dealer has both available. They are both fully loaded and in very good condition. The V6 model has 33K miles and they are asking 21K. The V8 has 49K and they are asking 19K. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!
 
what kind of guy are you? im a V8 guy.[first car a 1966 GTO in high school] reports ive read say the V6 is smooth [for a V6] and has surprising power...but for 1 to 3 MPG saved the V* is my pick...especially if there r hills where u live/drive...and i like to hit it getting on the highway,,,nothing like a good entrance ramp...zoom zoom zoom
