Which DVD's for Elm Street?

I have seen 2 boxsets of the Elm Street movies flying around, unsure which to go for as the single dvRAB you can buy state they are digitally remastered. The boxsets don't.

I have an 8 dvd set at the mo but I am getting rid as it's Region 1 and I want Region 2 discs.

from the top of my head - the original boxset release didnt have Freddy's Dead or The New Nightmare in it - when the second release did.

is it worth getting rid of R1? be the same crap on it. or maybe waiting around for a possible BluRay (which we may see with the new version coming out)

The Nightmare on elm St's are movies i am still happy to have on VHS and not bother about DVD! i am very proud of that VHS collection from the early 90s!!! part of a small collection of VHS i saved in the big cull of '05 of almost everything i own.

if they release a special very cheap boxset with extra brand new features - then if that DVD boxset comes down in price to under 5 quid, i may get it!!!
