a community college first? ...? I know this is long but pls pls pls pls pls read it and help me, thank you so much! pls

okay so i'll be graduating 2011 from High School. i have applied to a 4 yr university like a University of CA and CA State University. However, those schools are 1-2 hours drive away from the town i live in. And i just moved here from the Philippines 2 yrs ago, and yes we speak english over there, a mixture of filipino english and spanish, in fact. I went to school here in the US for 11th and 12th grade and next fall as a freshman in college. But i'm deciding if i really should go to a 4 yr university... because lately ive been thinking that maybe i shouldnt, and should just go to a community college first. why... because first, we really are low income, my parents can't afford it, we can barely pay the rent.. i mean they do get salary and stuff but it's just enough for us and there's no savings, at all. so i can't afford college. and i know that there's financial aid, but still that's not enough because my parents really can't give any "contributions" but if i go to a communtiy college then it'll be more efficient because it's less the cost. but i'm just thinking about that because well ive already applied and ive taken the SAT.

So here's the thing:
when i go to a 4 yr univ, ive already applied and took SATs but... 1. it's a 1-2 hrs away, i dont have a car and i cant afford to rent a boarding house over there, which means i might comute and that'll be harder. 2. i still have to take EPT and ELM for CSU (placement tests) but some of the applicants dont have to because they got high SAT scores or they passed the AP tests and i didnt. 3. my GPA and SAT scores are acceptable but not that outstanding, i got a 3.5 gpa and for SAT i got 1280 and Subj Test Math 460 and US History 390. And 3. i just can't afford it at all, it cost too much with all the comutting or rent, tuition, and other expenses since it is far away from my home, 1-2 hrs away (imma apply to some financial aid but like i explained, my parents can't give any contributions)
AND when i just go to a communty college, it's also a good option, plus... 1. it's not far away, i can still live at my house, i can just ride the bus, and i might be able to get a job. 2. it's less expensive! And 3. EVERYONE will have to take only ONE placement test to see which english and math class they should be put in. and i think they'e gonna do the testing in my school which is really efficient.

i'm really considering to just go to a community college because it seems better especially to my condition. BUT i'm worried because i already applied to UC and CSU (Cal Poly Pomona is my top choice because i REALLY want to major in Hospitality Management), im just waiting for the admission letter or whatever, and let's say i get accepted, then i rejected it because i'll go to a community college instead, then 2 yrs after i graduate from communty college and will transfer to 4 yr univ as a junior (pretty sure i still wanna go to Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Hospitality Management by then) ...you think they will still accept me after i rejected them 2 yrs ago? [this is one of the two questions]

so based on my condition/story, do you guys think it's better if i go to a community college (i do! but i'm worried about..[check the other question above, the *one of the two questions*]) or to a 4 yr university which i already applied to?

thank you so so so much! i really need it. i'd really appreciate all your answers, comments, etc. anything is welcome. thank you so much! thank you
