which dirt bike size is right for me?

I'm wondering which dirt bike size is right for me? I am 5'10" and 150 Ibs. and I am an EXTREMELY fast learner. A friend told me that a 125 bike is a good size for me and that I'll catch on quick. Is that the right size? If not, then which is good and is there anything else I should know?
