Which Dirt Bike Should I Get?

I'm in a little Dilemma. I'm just big enough to fit 85cc 2 strokes, and 125 cc four strokes. In a few weeks my dad will buy me a dirt bike of my choice under $4,000. What I would really like is a Kawasaki KLX 140 fourstroke, but my friend has an '04 Yamaha YZ 85 with aftermarket stuff on it, so it is a racing bike kind of. My dad really hates loud engines, and he has already looked at a KLX with me and we both really liked it. The problem is, my friend has a really good kind of old bike that would cost me a little, while I could get a brand spankin new KLX 140 to go trail riding with my dad. I want to know what people would decide on, and I would also like some opinions on the KLX 140, because it looks really great, but I don't know if it has a really good powersource. Thanks a lot
