America? Ho Chi Minh and the Communist cadres were defending their country from foreign occupiers and invaders, as well as attempting at reunification of the country (something we did in the 1860's). The United States got involved, napalmed and massacred a people they had no historical relation to even start with, and by arming the Khmer Rouge (an enemy of my enemy is a friend) essentially set up the Cambodian genocide.
