I currently live in Missouri, but need to get out and experience some new places and people. I have vacationed in Colorado my entire life, and have dreamed of living out there. I currently work in the photography field, but want to pursue a degree for more credibility and training. I know many people say that college isn't a must for photography, but finding a private studio that will pay you to apprentice is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Does anyone know of a good art school or even a regular college that has a decent program? I have heard of the "Art Institutes" but they are pricey and a four year program. What I want can be accomplished in two.
A friend suggested Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood, CO; but the reviews I've found aren't very promising. They are a dry school with little social life. I'm 21 and that's just not for me. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
