I'm applying to basically most of the UCs and a couple of privates like BU, NYU, and NYU-Poly. I'm aware that a lot of the schools I applied to are very selective, but I guess it's worth a shot for me so I'm just going to apply.
I hold serval board positions such as: Key club historian, american red cross secretary, asb senior historian, animals at hearts technology chair, varsity track, varsity debate, yearbook photographer and other normal clubs without any special positions.
my achievements are: Microsoft Certification MCTS and MCITP, qualified for Nationals for debate, Solar cup 2nd place, and a couple of undefeated trophies and awards from debate,
I guess my essay might changed the ball park a bit, i wrote about how I built computers at the age of 13, programmed at 14, started a computer business at 15, and earned my certifications at 16, created websites, hosted servers and all those computer stuff,
my satII scores: Math 2: 740 and Korean w/ listening 800.
havent took the SAT, but took ACT, which is 27 which equals to about 1860~.
GPA is not so great= 3.0 overall
every year my gpa went up significantly, from the 2.0s during freshman year to to 3.5s+ at the end of junior year, overall average is 3.0 flat, havent took aps :[, bummer.
my school is kinda competitive and my grade is due to all the hours I allocate toward fixing computers everyday for hours than studying, but my test scores are kinda solid i guess,
So my question is... with these skills/grades and scores, where can I land, I guess my background is sorta rare to have? not very much high school students hold microsoft certifications, and do what I do,
