which civilizations say that the world will end on december 2012 ?

hi, i am doing a research paper on this subject and i need to know every civilization that state that the end of the world would be on the year 2012 ...

i have looked on google and wikipedia and do some personal research by asking my teacher but the only answer i found is that the Mayan have predicted that... :/ but i know that there are other civilization that have predict the end of our world in the 2012 ?
do you know any others... please its important !!

Hasn't anyone told you yet that not even the Mayans predicted the end of the world? If you read that they did, your research is faulty and inadequate.
Also, wikipedia is never considered a good source because anyone and their pet dog can post whatever they want there. It's not reliable.
Neither is Yahoo Answers.
If you do a little more searching you'll find that the NASA site has some information. However, you're on the wrong track so far.
 
I think the Aztecs and maybe even the dudes who lived on easter island. But definately the mayans. If you need one more, maybe say the Egyptians??
