I was guessing the mongols too. And to clarify,by 1st encounter I mean from the Xia Dynasty, as it is the 1st Chinese dynasty to have records about it, and seems to not be mythological or fictional.

Probably mongolia which invaded under genghis Khan .

the mongels stayed for over 500 years.

China had always been attacked by the uncivilised nomadic tribes outside the border. That is why Shi Huang ti (the First Emperor) unified China and built the Great Wall of China in the 3th century BC.
And the Arab merchants had already arrived in China (then the Tang Dynasty) in AD the 7th century, long before the Mongolians invaded the Sung Dynasty in the 13th century.

India I think because it to is a very ancient civilization and close by, the mongols where probably not what you would call a civilization at the time.

Who knows... The egyptians, and all the population around, used to travel a lot. Nobody can know who arrived first, unless new information, is discover.

from Spain, regards and good luck as a new friend of YAA.
