I'm trying to buy a cherry bomb glass pack for my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport and i was wondering which one i should buy. I have looked around for exact dimensions of the pipes currently going to and from my stock exhaust but have found nothing. So I was wondering if anyone with a similar model could help me with this issue.

If I'm not mistaken, you should have the same dimension exhaust pipe as I do (1990 XJ), which is 2 and 1/4". Glasspacks that fit the Cherokee at all only go up to 2" which means you'll have to have the hole expanded at an exhaust shop. IMO, a little squeeze in the exhaust flow (without obstruction of course) is a good thing and will retain some of your torque. Yes, you will lose torque with a free-flow muffler such as a glasspack so look at other muffler options to see if you can get a better one that will actually fit properly.

As a side note, glasspacks will be loud as hell and sound like crap if not installed properly, so be careful.
