Okay, so I am looking to buy a new cellphone to replace my HTC Touch Diamond, which is a little too expensive at $70 a month and I am going to sell that and cancel my plan. The HTC is nice but had its flaws and just is a little more than I would like. So, I am looking for a nice alternative, and I do not wish for another touch screen because it would get dirty way too easily and get very dusty. The plan I had before included unlimited texting, 400 minutes a month, internet use, GPS, Sprint TV, and a music store. Sprint isn't the best service provider and I had problems other than occasional lock ups with the phone.
So, I am looking for a good, non touch screen phone that has nice menus and is easy to use and access, but not too cheap where you can literally get it for free. I am not looking for anything too fancy either like the HTC Touch, anything 50-150 dollars is ideal. As for plans, 30 a month is the most I wish to spend. I only want unlimited texting and I can deal with only limited minutes a month. I don't want internet, GPS, any music stores, or TV on this phone becuase it costs too much, although I wouldn't mind if the phone included it, just not in the plan I purchase.
Pros of my old phone are
+Very organized menus and customizable, it had a lot of details
+The features were cool, but many seemed uneccessary
+Everything was easy to use
+Had anything a good cellphone needs
Cons
-Battery life was very poor and died after a few hours
-Freezes up a little more than needed, most likely do to Windows Mobile
-Gets dirty very easily and requires a lot of cleaning
-Takes very long to start up
If you can find me a good phone with a cheap plan that has good menus, good texting system, and works pretty good as a phone, I would be happy.
