Okay so here's the thing, I have a Mazda 6 2003 euro model and it's shit :P , probably cause it's been in 2 crashes but it's leaking and the floors are always soaked and actually got mold starting in the trunk and I doubt it's doing me or the rest of the car any good so I'm thinking about new cars.... and I'm kinda wanting a smaller car than the mazda 6 so I'm thinking either a used Mini Cooper '04 manual or a used suzuki swift automatic or manual OR a Mazda 2- probably a used one. And they would all be european models ( don't know if that makes a difference) But anyway I would love any input and I live in Iceland so if you have any experience with any of these cars in snow and frost and a lot of wet weathers then please let me know how they are in those conditions :) Thank you! And if you know of any other small fuel efficient and good cars then do tell ;)

I will definitely recommend a MINI Cooper its the best car I've ever owned. The MINI Cooper gets amazing gas mileage and it is just so much fun to drive around town so many people stare at the MINI and point it out especially if you add modifications.
There is so much to do with it I mean an event coming up soon is this event called MINIs on the Dragon http://www.minisonthedragon.info/ (go to that website for more information)

Not only is the car its self nice but the dealerships that I've been to are so kind and they respect what you want ( I'm not big on going to dealerships but I have actually made friends at that place and we go out for drives all the time)

MINI Cooper is an amazing car and if you need anymore information on it feel free to email me ( [email protected] )

Another site for just MINI related stuff is
http://northamericanmotoring.com/
and this one is for MINI owners in South Carolina but you can still stay sort of updated on MINI stuff
http://upstateminis.com/

Though MINI may not be suitable for some people as they may not enjoy the thrill and enthusiasm that most MINI owners do.

Though I do know you live in Iceland (which is an awesome place) and the websites recommended are for the US but looking at them should help with your decision in weather or not you want a MINI.

Good luck :)

One thing many people don't consider when shopping for a car is repair costs. one of these days your car will need to be repaired whether it is due to wear or an accident. My advice is to check around to see how easy it is to get those parts and their costs before buying a car.

I have Suzuki car and hit a deer about a year ago. I had to wait about a month before the parts came in to fix it! If I go to my local auto parts store for something I usually have to order and wait for those parts too. I never considered things like this back when I bought the car.

Be sure to look at resale values too. My poor Suzuki didn't cost all that much back when I bought it, but now it's practically worthless. They lose their value incredibly fast. I'd choose a Honda or Toyota myself. Their quality is legendary, they last forever, and their resale is great.
