Which car is better? Honda Civic LX-S or Volkswagen Jetta S?

Hi,

I graduated from college recently and I am a buying a car to help me commute to my workplace. My budget is around 17-20 K, so I narrowed it down to Honda Civic LX-S or Volkswagen Jetta S.
I need help in deciding which would be a better car in terms of driving pleasure, sportiness etc ?
