Which car is better -- 2010 Honda Accord or 2010 Ford Taurus?

My opinion based on your criteria, probably the Accord but only because the 2010 Accord is basically unchanged from the 2008 model which has an established very good reliability record. The 2010 Taurus is a new design although the previous Taurus (2008-2009) also had a very good reliability record so this one will probably also do well, but that is not certain.

Beyond that there is really not much to choose from other than your personal taste and the price you can negotiate for the car equipped as you want it.

please give unbiased opinion. Don't want to be fooled as buying car is big investment. I worked hard and it took me 11 years to save $35,000. I don't want my hard earned savings go waste on a car that doesn't last. I want the car to last 200,000 miles and around 15 years. I just got done with 1995 toyota camry that has 225,000 miles on it. I would have bought Toyota again but am scared of unintended acceleration issue.
