Which car is better '08 mazda 6 or a '08 pontiac G6?

Ok this will be my first car and these are my only 2 options i want something reliable im going to college this fall and needed something good. Not to mention i'll be making payments on it for at least 5 years so i which one would be most reliable for those 5 years?
 
Personally, I like the way the Pontiac G6 looks more than the Mazda. I know someone with one and she absolutely loves it, and I read an article saying that it had above average reliability for it's class. You can also get a performance version of it or a convertible.
